Overview

The Warehouse Coordinator contributes to increasing office efficiency by providing support both operationally and administratively. Responsible for coordinating, organizing, and communicating all details related to the warehouse area. Involved in inventory, ordering, shipping and receiving, verification, classification, and storage of Commercial Laundry Equipment, parts, and auxiliary items.

 

Contributes to process improvement initiatives as a cross-functional team member while following the Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards, policies, and procedures.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily opening duties of the warehouse area such as opening and closing facility, while properly securing the area at the end of the shift. Maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Will handle loading, and unloading following the progress of orders, pulling, and preparing loads for shipment. Validating counts on incoming and outgoing shipments and correctly marking the machines with the job/client information. Inspect incoming equipment or parts and properly report any damage. Expected to allocate parts/equipment when they are in stock and notify Parts, Service, and Sales teams of new arrivals.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and trailers and preps them for delivery of equipment/parts. Operates forklift truck, pallet jack, and other equipment safely. Following all safety and security procedures. Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall danger zones.
  • Process and enter orders and invoices received into the accounting system, while updating customer pricing to finalize orders accordingly. Additional duties may include verifying all available parts and freight discounts and rebates have been applied. May verify equipment/parts warranty, credits, and returns.
  • Reviews par levels and keeps track of inventory items. May perform a physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to the accounting system, such as sales orders vs. purchasing invoices to obtain current inventory levels. May be responsible for partnering with the service, install, sales, and parts team to complete the equipment and/or parts acquisition accordingly.
  • Will enter customer information into logging systems such as SAP, Sage, or Sales Force. Will track equipment/parts shipping dates, while updating databases on inventory and purchases with the status of parts/ equipment stage in order to coordinate with internal teams or customers to minimize the time equipment is in the warehouse before being delivered and installed.
  • Customer support expert, serving as the escalation point of contact, managing incoming calls or correspondence, and communicating with internal and external partners. Escalates to Manager any discrepancies regarding availability, delivery, quality, price, and shipping schedules.
  • Performs other related, incidental, and similar duties including interdepartmental projects as required.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of related work experience in a dynamic warehouse environment preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Experience in telephone and email/ticketing system-based customer support preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Experience operating equipment including forklift truck and pallet jack. A valid state motor vehicle operator's permit for the operation of a forklift truck might be required.

Standard and Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves standing long periods, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
  • Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. For greater weight items assistive devices will be provided.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus.

For California the base compensation range starts at $22.00 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
